About Me

I'm a big nerd. My profile name is from Star Wars. Back in the day I chatted with other Star Wars nerds in a majestic place called Holonet, so of course I needed a handle that would prove my nerd superiority to the other nerds. In Episode 4: A New Hope, Obi-Wan cuts off the arm of a violent alien named Ponda Boba, who just happened to belong to a species of water-planet-dwelling aliens with peach colored tusks on their faces. Tusks that happened to look like butts. So I went by the name of buttfacedponda, but as I grew older, I felt I needed something more streamlined, more...well, let's face it, something more mature. I felt that rockinponda would be suitable, as it showcases both my favorite genre of music, and, more subtlely, my nerdiness. So there you have it. My origins. Not that anyone asked, but after all, every superhero needs a bitchin origin story.

, I mainly came here for AFI, then found MCR stuff, and now I thoroughly enjoy the QOTD forum. I like to read, paint, draw, sing in the shower, in the car, around the house, in my head...you get the point. I LOVE movies, and now that I'm back from college, I watch more tv than I ought to watch. I feel most alive when I'm at rock concerts, in the pit, screaming my head off and being moderately violent. I'm writing and illustrating my own comic book about a vampire woman named Lily. She's badass to the extreme, but unfortunately I don't have much time to work on it these days. I adore comic books, and I think I should get a discount at the comic shop for being a cute girl who loves comics. It's fairly rare.
